14th February: A Pink Day


 Love is the purest feeling in this world. 

It makes everyday sparkle,

Every moment, each second. 

But what if love marriage is not allowed?

What if Love is illegal ?

You won't believe but you have to trust, because history speaks about it. There are about three stories on it. Most people trust only the first one and researchers found it truth.

Anyhow, we wish everyone a very Happy Valentines day on 14th of February every year. Evey couple wait to get the first surprise from loved ones. Every single waits to get a reply back from their crushes. We take a lot of pictures, create lot of graphics and also share on that special occasion. But do we actually know why this day is celebrated ? 

Once upon a time when love existed in a true heart and soul, people celebrated this day with emotions, happiness and peace. But in this 21st century the meaning and celebration is quite different. Going to a restaurant, decorating a table, booking a hotel or long journey to the himalayas in bike is what often seen these days on 14th February. We hardly blow a candle for the person who martyred for Love. Neither we take our parents to a restaurant to celebrate. 

Rome is a forever romantic place since it took time to rebuild up as a remarkable place in the world. Rome and romance together defined by Love has a close relationship with Rome from 270 A.D. when church started celebrating the death of St. Valentine as a day of love or Valentines Day. It is believed that he was the only person to support love and oppose Emperor Claudius-II's order. The emperor's philosophy was that, only a single or unmarried soldier can do better. But Valentine didn't agreed to this injustice and started supporting people and secret marriages. When Claudius-II discovered his deeds, he sent him jail and then death punishment. At the end of the 5th century, Pope Gelasius declared February 14th as St. Valentine’s Day. And Cupid was one of the most beautiful packing gift at that time, which is a semi naked/naked cherub launching arrows of love at lovers.

Anyway,

Love is a sweet feeling of heart. We shouldn't let it be materialized. We must love everyone and everyday. Valentine’s day is just to commemorate his sacrifice for love and celebrate this purest emotion. Love is not a one day affair, but one needs to show love to their partner and all loved ones in other364 days of the year as well. That what love means really.

How much others love you is measured by 

How much you love them

Not by how much you buy for them.

Keep loving others and keep spreading love.
